The South Dakota winter checklist
Battery load, coolant mix, tire depth and wiper condition, plus the four things worth checking before the first hard freeze.
Get the checklist →Not a values page. This is the actual procedure in our shop, the same on a forty dollar oil change as on a four thousand dollar repair, and you can hold us to all four.
Every shop says it is honest. That word costs nothing to print. So instead of adjectives, here is the procedure: what happens, when it happens, and what you get either way. If we miss one of these, tell us and we will make it right.
Once we know what your vehicle needs, we call with the plan and the price. Not a range, not an estimate that moves later. The number we say is the number you approve.
If the vehicle comes apart and there is more to it than we expected, the work stops and the phone rings again. Nothing gets added while your car is in the bay and you are at work.
Ask any time and we will walk you out to the bay and hand you the old part. A worn brake pad next to a new one explains the repair better than anything we could say at the counter.
It is your vehicle and it was your money. You should be able to hold the thing you paid to replace.
Most vehicles come in with more than one thing going on. We sort it into what is a safety issue today, what should be handled in the next few months, and what you can keep an eye on for a while yet.
Nobody needs every item done at once, and a shop that tells you otherwise is not doing you a favour. We would rather see you back in six months than have you put off coming in at all.
Twelve months on our workmanship. If a repair we performed needs another look inside that window, bring the vehicle back and we take care of it. Parts carry their own manufacturer coverage on top of that.
We also accept extended warranty work from most major providers. Bring the paperwork or your policy number and we handle the claim with them directly.
Five steps, every time, whether it is an oil change or a transmission.
You tell us what it is doing. The noise, the light, the feeling. No part names needed.
We diagnose it properly with factory grade scan tools before quoting anything.
We call with the plan, the price, and what is urgent against what can wait.
You approve it. We do the work, and we call again if anything changes.
You pick it up, see the old parts if you want them, and it is covered for a year.
Twelve months from the day you pick it up. No registration to complete, no receipt to keep track of, no clause that voids it. We have your job on file, and if it needs another look we take care of it.
Request an estimate →Battery load, coolant mix, tire depth and wiper condition, plus the four things worth checking before the first hard freeze.
Get the checklist →Straight ranges on brakes, alternators, water pumps and the other repairs folks ask us about most. Handy before you decide anything.
See the ranges →You do not need to know the name of the part. Describe the noise, the light, or the feeling, and we will take it from there. Most estimates go out the same business day.
If you would rather talk it through, call (605) 339-9717 and describe what it is doing. That is usually the fastest start.
