Repair and diagnostics
Brakes, check engine lights, transmissions, suspension and steering, exhaust and catalytic converters, radiators and cooling. Factory grade scan tools and a plain answer about what they found.
See what we fix →Four bays on the south side of Minnesota Avenue, a crew that knows your name, and half a century of Sioux Falls drivers handing us their keys. That is the whole business, and it has been enough.
Mark came home to Sioux Falls from the North Dakota oil fields in 2016 and went to work at T&A. He learned the shop from the inside out. In April 2021 he and Deb bought it from the owners who built it.
Deb spent her career as a nurse before she came into the business full time. If the front counter here runs a little tighter than you would expect from a repair shop, that is why. She runs it the way she ran a floor.
Since taking over they have bought the building, opened a second business inside it, and kept the same promise that came with the keys. Fifty years of goodwill is not something you inherit lightly.
Easier to show you than to describe it.
The kids who rode along in the back seat while their dad waited on an oil change are bringing in their own vehicles. Some of them bring their kids. That is the part of this job we would not trade.

See what we fix →Oil changes, batteries, alternators and starters, heating and air conditioning, tires, balancing and four wheel alignment. The routine work that keeps the big repairs away.
Schedule a service →Commercial accounts with priority scheduling, plus backup cameras, keyless entry, remote start, trailer hitches and towing wiring.
Set up an account →Equipment changes, vehicles get more complicated, and the shop has grown into the building next door. The way we treat the person standing at the counter has not moved an inch.
T&A opens on the south side of Sioux Falls under its original owners.
Mark comes back from the North Dakota oil fields and starts working in the bays.
Mark and Deb buy the shop, and the promise that came with it stays put.
They own the building, run Von Rae Salon Suites next door, and back every job for a year.
Our name is on the jerseys of teams our kids play on. We run into our customers at the county fair and in the checkout line. When somebody leaves this shop happy, we usually hear about it at church on Sunday.
Mark and Deb have four kids. Keaira is in graduate school studying to become a mental health therapist, and Karsin, Elsie and Jack keep the house loud. When the shop is closed you will most likely find all of them at the campsite on the Missouri River, fishing and swimming until the light goes.
Without our customers there is no business. That is not a slogan we picked, it is the arithmetic of running a shop in a town where everybody knows everybody.
Stop in, call, or send a photo of whatever your vehicle is doing. We are on South Minnesota Avenue, Monday through Friday, eight to five.
Request an estimate →Twelve of the things vehicles do to get your attention, what each one usually means, and how urgent it actually is. Written by the people who diagnose them all day.
Keep it in the glovebox. It will save you a worried evening at some point.
